REGISTRATION INFORMATION :
KIDS FIRST will begin registering children ages 4-6 for T-ball/Coach pitch, as well as all other age divisions, by mail, beginning in January 2009. Our first open registration will be held on February 21, 2009. Registration forms for the 2009 season can be downloaded from our website beginning in January 2009.

INTERESTED IN COACHING A YOUTH BASEBALL OR SOFTBALL TEAM?

Kids First Sports Inc. is looking for both men and women interested in volunteering to become either a head coach or an assistant coach. Come experience the excitement of watching a child hit a home run, or win his or her first game as a pitcher. It's a great way to get involved, and make a difference in a child's life.

If you are interested, please download a coaches application from the downloads link on the left side of the page. Submit the application to Kids First and a member of Kids First will get in contact with you. All coaches must attend a coaches meeting.

WANT TO EARN SOME EXTRA MONEY THIS SUMMER?

KIDS FIRST IS LOOKING FOR UMPIRES FOR THE UPCOMING 2009 SEASON

In these tough economic times, everyone could use a little extra cash. Why not become an umpire for Kids First and earn that extra cash this summer? Kids First pays top dollar for anyone willing to give a few hours a day. Games are played Monday thru Friday; including many double headers. Umpires can work as LITTLE as 14 hours per week, while receiving as MUCH as $210. BEST YET, IT'S ALL TAX FREE!

All interested parties, please download an Umpire's Application from the download link on the left hand side of the page. Submit the application to Kids First and start earning that extra income.

***All umpires must be at least 16 years old; attend an umpires meeting, and an umpires training session. All home plate umpires must provide their own equipment.***

Kids First Sports, Inc. is a recreational organization for Girls Fast Pitch Softball and Boys Baseball. Age divisions begin with 7 years-old, and run through 17 years-old for girls softball and through 17 years-old for boys baseball. We also operate a Coach Pitch/T-Ball program for 4 to 6 year-old boys and girls that we believe is both beneficial and enjoyable for the younger players and parents. The organization's focus is on the players. Some of our important characteristics are:

No Tryouts or draft! Everyone is eligible to play.
League age is the age of the player on May 31st of the current year.
The league utilizes roster batting (all players present are in the batting order) and each player must be allowed to play at least three innings per game on defense.
Games are played at 13 diamonds located throughout Springfield and in several neighboring communities.
The season runs from May through mid July with a mid season tournament.
